The Swiss Quality Day 2020, with which the SAQ Swiss Association for Quality addresses top managers, executives and a broad professional audience, was dedicated to the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). Against the background of the Corona pandemic, the Swiss Quality Day was also broadcast live for the first time.
The Managing Director of SAQ Marlyse Roulin opened the congress and used current examples, including the use of artificial intelligence and cognitive systems during the Co-vid 19 crisis in Asia, to demonstrate that AI is already part of our everyday life: "Artificial intelligence is a fact and it can be an important tool for quality. It can do this, for example, by preventing the production of faulty parts in real time, supporting decision-making or monitoring the performance of machines". But quality must also evolve and become more agile. "It is therefore important to keep abreast of advances in artificial intelligence so that we can provide the best possible support to the organisations in which we work," concluded Roulin.
