The verification procedure consists of a successfully completed written and oral examination, which are conducted at our exam providers. The basis is the SAQ examination regulations. Below you will find information on the admission requirements, the written and oral exams, the organisation of the exams and the legal remedies.

- Have a client book, participate in such a book or work as an independent specialist for clients and be in direct contact with them
- Having a role/function that matches the program
- Passing all necessary written exams
Written exam
Details anzeigen/ausblendenThe written examination tests professional knowledge in the certification programme respective.
- There is no mandatory preparation, the candidate is responsible for his/her own preparation.
- The written examination can be completed in partial exams.
- In case the written exam consists of several partial exams, the first attempt marks the beginning of three years within which all remaining partial exams need to be passed successfully by the candidate.
- Each compulsory examination/partial examination must be passed with a result of at least 70%. The results of partial exams cannot be offset or aggregated.
- The written exam/partial exam can be repeated twice.
- The passed complete written examination has a validity of 3 years.
- If a candidate has failed to pass the written examination or partial examination three times, he can repeat the qualification procedure again after a waiting period of twelve months.

Oral examination
Details anzeigen/ausblendenDuring the oral examination, examination experts systematically observe and assess the candidate's consulting skills. To make this assessment within a framework which is as close to reality as possible, the conduct and professional skills are tested on the basis of a simulated client discussion and structured evaluation sheet.
- There is no mandatory preparation; the candidate is responsible for his own preparation.
- The oral examination must be taken within 3 years of the passed written examination.
- The oral examination can be repeated twice.
- If a candidate has failed to pass the oral examination three times, he can start the procedure for the oral examination again after a waiting period of twelve months.

Legal remedies

Oral examination: In an oral examination, the candidate has the opportunity to inspect his examination papers. Inspection is only possible if the candidate fails the examination. For further information, see the Guidelines on appeals. The signed application can be submitted as a scan by e-mail to or by post.
Written examination: According to the examination regulations, the written examination cannot be inspected. It is possible to contest a failed written examination by lodging an appeal with the certification body. For further information, see the Guidelines for legal remedies.
Objection
In the event of a failed oral examination, the candidate is entitled to submit an objection to the assessment to the certification body. For further information, see the Guidelines for legal remedies . The application (oral examination or written examination) can be signed and submitted as a scan by e-mail to or by post.
Redress
If the candidate does not agree with the decision on his objection, he can submit a redress to the second and final instance. For further information see the Guidelines for legal remedies. The application can be signed and submitted as a scan by e-mail to or by post.
Appeal
Candidates who fail to pass the examination have the opportunity to submit a written appeal to the certification body about the procedure and organisation of the examination.
