The circular economy concept aims to maintain the value of substances, materials and products as long as possible. They should either be used again and again in closed cycles over several life cycles or biologically degraded without residues. In other words, an economic system that is as waste-free as possible with the objective: benefits for the economy, customers and nature.
To implement this concept, sustainable resource management should become part of the business model and company processes. In doing so, it is important to align the needs of customers, the available technologies and the ecological impact in order to make products and services as beneficial as possible at all levels.
On the Swiss Quality Day 2021, we would like to show participants the opportunities and stumbling blocks that the concept of the circular economy opens up.
